In a house with a rationalist façade, from the second half of the last century, located in the Los Hoteles neighborhood of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, a very compartmentalized house sits, with very long corridors, light natural light and serious structural problems. The first decision we made was that the new home should be focused around its large central courtyard. The walls facing the courtyard open generously to allow plenty of natural light and ventilation to enter, and the rooms are built around it. As much preexisting material as possible was maintained, like the terrazzo of the stairs, and new ones were introduced, always being faithful to our architectural style of wide-spaces, without artifice and simple lines.
