Home Costa, Santa Cruz

From the early 30’s, this home belongs to Canarian Modernism, rising 3 stories just a few meters from other exquisite examples of this style. It contained highly compartmentalized spaces, inherited from living styles of the mid 20th Century that posed a major challenge.

A total intervention was planned, except on the protected face of the building on which structural reinforcement was necessary, and the interior was reconfigured to achieve an open and connected floorpan. Wide open spaces, continuous and white with clean lines, respecting as much as possible the existing interior elements with great architectural value such as the hydraulic tiles, crown molding and interior carpentry, are the hallmark of this project.
